Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of theory and expertise in a domain within educational psychology.

My areas of focus are moral and pro-social development and post secondary education outcomes.  To conceptualize the body of research relating to moral and pro-social development a multidisciplinary approach was taken.  The artifacts provide an overview of the philosophical underpinnings of moral and pro-social development.  Included is a review of historical trends that influence morality and pro-social behaviors across generations, the psychological perspective of attachment and moral development theory, the social influence of morals and pro-social development, and the family constellation influence of moral and pro-social development.  This multidisciplinary perspective on moral and pro-social development is centered around secondary educational outcomes.

Artifact one demonstrates a meta-analysis of the historical, modern influences, policy, and social theories which help ground an understanding of moral & pro-social development and its affects on secondary educational outcomes.  As part of the literature research criteria, the peer review articles attempt to examine 25 years of multidisciplinary journals related to morals, pro-social development, and academic outcomes.  The articles range in topics of morality, human development, achievement, and motivation.  Additionally, the current research on Social and Emotional learning, Restorative Justice Models, and aggressive behaviors of school-age children helped conceptualize the body of knowledge (Artifact #1 Moral & Pro-social Development and Education).

Artifact two further expands my research interest in the area of moral development & pro-social and secondary educational outcomes by focusing on the family constellation with an emphasis on the role of fathers.  The literature review provides a meta-analysis on the effects absent fathers have on their children, fathers and attachment theory, and fathers and academic outcomes.  Within in these three areas of interest an attempt to underline what, if any, effect fathers have on the moral and pro-social development of children is considered (Artifact #2 Father's influence on Moral & Pro-social Development and Education).
