Demonstrate effective written communication and presentation skills
As a non-native English speaker, I have worked diligently to improve my written communication and presentation skills. The following artifacts demonstrate the scope of my written communication aptitudes in professional, academic, and grant writing genre.

Professional Writing Artifact
The attached artifact provides evidence to demonstrates my capacity to use research as well as federal statutes with the goal of becoming an authorized not-for-profit organization under the Federal Status of 501(c)3. The application included a narrative description of the agency’s programs and services, descriptions of population served, justification of the charitable nature of the program, staff requirements, and expectations of funding sources. The application was approved by the Internal Revenue Service in February 2018 (Artifact #1 IRS Application).

Academic Writing Artifacts
The attached artifacts provide evidence that demonstrate my capacity to develop academic curriculum utilizing research with the goal of supporting the social and emotional development of students, parents and educators. This proposal includes written narratives pertaining to program services, target population, empirically based intervention modalities and data collection protocols. The proposed curriculum was approved by the Chicago Public School Office of Social and Emotional Division in March 2017, (Artifact #2 CPS Proposal).

The attached artifact demonstrates my aptitude in synthesizing research with the goal of formulating an academic position argument. This academic paper is an example of my ability to draw on multiple perspectives to generate a unique and critical synthesis of research articles pertaining to the American Identity and Education system (Artifact #3: The Double Aims of the American Identity).

Grant Writing Artifact
The attached artifact demonstrates my ability to seek funding sources through grant writing initiatives with the purpose of piloting behavioral health programs. The proposed grant was sponsored by The National Council for Behavioral Health. The grant proposal includes a narrative of the community and population to be served; a needs assessment, descriptions of the program and services, as well as the organization’s ability to manage the program. The grant was very competitive; only five awards would be issued nationwide (Artifact #3 Grant Proposal).
